You know I am all about making your lives easier. When I share dinner ideas on the blog- they are usually easy, fast, and delicious meals that are family friendly and did I say easy? I don’t have time or energy for anything else most nights, and if I can make something that all three of us like and will eat, (as well as keep the apartment clean, get my child bathed and to bed and still have some energy left at the end of the day, ) I feel like Wonder Woman.

Are Pita Pizzas a very common thing? Am I not sharing my remarkable discovery with you but instead outing myself as the last person on the planet to realize how easy and tasty these are? I hope it’s the first option, but either way here it is.

Step Three: Toppings- Cheese of course, veggies, meat- you know the drill- top as you like. My favorite thing to use are deli slices of provolone, they melt perfectly and are so easy. But mozzarella or any cheese you have would work.

Quick And Easy Pita Pizza {just 3 Minutes}

I like to make these pizzas in the toaster oven. They bake to perfection in just a couple minutes, and the crust is always super crispy. If you don’ t have one, they can be made in your regular oven too of course, (I’ll give instructions to both options in the recipe.)

Anything goes when it comes to pita pizza! These personal pizzas are great for a fast dinner, or a dinner idea for kids since they’re so fun and versatile. There are so many ways to top a personal pizza. The recipe below includes our favorite margherita pizza and a few other ideas:

*For the Roasted Red Pepper Sauce, in a food processor or blender, place 6 ounces roasted red peppers (half a 12-ounce jar), 10 sundried tomatoes, and 1 tablespoon of the oil from the sun-dried tomato jar. Purée until smooth. Taste and add salt as desired. In this demonstration, I’m using a Greek pita bread that’s actually whole wheat pitas, I think from Whole Foods. I find that all grocery store bought pita breads can result in a delicious, crispy pita bread pizza. Including gluten-free pita bread. The key is to add a little olive oil as mentioned in the instructions.

Honestly, there’s not much health difference between the two— both pita breads and pizza dough utilize a simple yeast dough, which contains many of the same ingredients. If you use whole wheat pizza, of course, you can rack in some easy health points. The main benefit of pita bread, though, is the ease with which it can be topped with all your favorite toppings and made into delicious pizzas very quickly, without parbaking pizza dough first.
