Turkey. Burger. Pizza. On nights when you want it all, this is the pizza for you. Festive and filling, this is a great way to mix up your weeknight routine—or please the masses when no one can agree on what sounds good for dinner.
I love this recipe because it takes two familiar favorites and transforms them into a new, interesting, and delicious dinner. I mostly rely on my almond flour pizza crust to make this, but any crust you like will work.

One of the many (many) beautiful things about pizza is that it’s easily (and endlessly) adapted to your favorite toppings. Or what happens to be in your fridge. My favorite combination with this particular pizza requires red onions and tomatoes. Then, remember that this is a burger pizza…so we finish with a little shredded lettuce and some pickles.
No Dough Meat Crust Pizza For The Low Carb Dieter Recipe
I am a California girl. So is my pizza. So we finish off this masterpiece with a decadent drizzle of animal-style secret sauce inspired by everyone’s favorite cali burger joint. That’s right. Turkey Burger Pizza.
As a low carb eater, I’m all about my almond flour pizza crust. You can use whatever storebought or homemade pizza dough you prefer. If you aren’t low carb, this wheat flour dough comes highly recommended by my Mama (if you’ve been here long, you know she knows her food!)
Sliced pickles, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes for my burger, please! But you can add whatever ground turkey pizza toppings you love, maybe it’s caramelized onions? Ranch dressing? Olives?

If you’ve never heard of meatza it is simply a crust made from ground meat – usually ground beef, turkey or chicken. Since meat is very if not no carb and tasty, it makes a great keto pizza crust.
There are other low carb pizza crust options too. I’ve made a cauliflower pizza crust, fathead dough pizza crust even a pepperoni pizza frittata. They also are very delicious so if you are on a keto diet and experimenting with low carb pizzas, they are worth a try. Each taste different and equally delicious IMO.
Cheesy Ground Turkey Pasta (one Pot!)
For the turkey pizza crust I used ground turkey, an egg, parmesan cheese, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and black pepper. Note you can also use ground chicken or even lean ground beef.
To top the pizza I used a little of Aldi’s Specialty Selects marinara sauce as it’s pretty low carb. I also really like Rao’s marinara for a pizza sauce. It has the same amount of carbs and I love the taste.

Other toppings I used today are mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and bell peppers. You can use whatever your favorite toppings are on this pizza. Today I’m just showing you the concepts of a pizza crust made from meat – toppings optional.

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F. To make the ground turkey pizza crust, get out a large bowl and mix together 1 pound of ground turkey, an egg, parmesan cheese, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and black pepper.
Mix them together like a meat loaf. Cover a cookie sheet with parchment or silicon mat. Form the mixture into the shape of a pizza (oval or circle) and try to get it uniformly thin using your hands.
Step 2: Bake for about 20 minutes or until the crust is cooked but not browned. Cooking time may vary depending on how thick you make your crust. Just keep checking on it.
