Had been on my radar since last year, but I only just watched it –and it was worth the wait! An American neo-Western, this film takes place in the 1960s, starring Diane Lane and Kevin Costner. Our Pizza today is basically three ingredients (five, if you count the fresh basil and black pepper finish). Creamy Gorgonzola cheese with mozzarella, finished with huge slices of Beefsteak tomato and basil leaves; it’s a very pretty pizza. Let’s get to it!
This is a basic cheese pizza, but it’s the type of cheese that makes it special. Gorgonzola is super creamy and you can definitely substitute crumbled blue cheese, if you like. I used fresh mozzarella, which made this a fork-and-knife pizza, at least while it was bubbling hot. If you want your pizza to be less wet, use low moisture shredded mozzarella.

Once your dough is stretched out, layer on the mozzarella. Then a very generous portion of Gorgonzola scattered evenly over the mozzarella. This is ready for the oven! Bake the pizza for about 15 minutes in a 450 degree oven.

I love the blue ripples of Gorgonzola and the the look and texture of big thick slices of fresh tomato on this pizza. If you can’t find big Beefsteak tomatoes (or another large tomato), You can use more slices of a smaller tomato for good coverage. Just be sure to slice them about 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick.
When this pizza comes out of the oven, with the crust golden and the cheese bubbly, let it sit for about 2-4 minutes.

Thank you all for spending Pizza and a Movie with me today! This pizza is super simple and so satisfying! The fresh tomato is a refreshing change from cooking the tomato on the pie; it retains its moisture and texture to give fresh, meaty ripe tomato flavor in every bite. On a chilly autumn night I went in search of pizza in Hongdae. After a few disappointing experiences in Hongdae the past, I was hesitant. After some wandering I stumbled upon an Italian place next to GR8 hookah bar and Ting Tings. Storia. I peeped in. It looked decent, so onward I went. It’s a very modern space with hardwood floors, funky blue water glasses and cool hanging light fixtures. The front windows peeled away to let in a breeze, and there were blankets on each chair for those who didn’t appreciate the crisp fall air. The place was pretty crowded for a Sunday at 6 and I noticed a lot of young couples. I figured this probably translated to good, cheap food.

The first thing on the menu to catch my eye was the set meals. Set A was comprised of bread, drink (juices and coffees, which by the way are all free until 3pm), a choice of soup, salad, a choice of pasta, and a dessert. All of these for a mere 17, 000 won. The second set was similar but offered a steak entree and was slightly more expensive. Had I been hungrier, and not on a quest for pizza, that would have been a no-brainer. I looked further. There was a wide selection of pastas, risottos, sandwiches and salads. There was also an extensive wine list. But it’s pizza I was after, and it’s pizza I was going to get.
Caramelized Onion And Gorgonzola Pizza Recipe
There were 5 or so different pizzas; the classic margarita, salami, gorgonzola, steak, and a couple others I am having trouble recalling at the moment. They all ranged from 10, 000- 17, 000 won each. I went with the gorgonzola. After a couple minutes the waitress (of which there was only one to handle the whole place, poor thing!) brought out a plate of rosemary bread with balsamic and olive oil. The bread was heavenly! Loaded with rosemary flavor, soft and fluffy in the middle and crunchy on the outside. I would go back just for the bread. A few short minutes later and a circle of blue and white bubbly goodness appeared before me. The crust of the pizza was ultra-thin, and as aforementioned, blue! There was no sauce, just crust and cheese. It was also served with a side of honey. It was delicious! Certainly not your traditional pizza, but the crispy crust with the gorgonzola honey combo was taaaasty! I can’t wait to go back to check out the set menu.
The Best Jajamyeon in Seoul by Daniel Gray Jajangmyeon 짜장면: Korea's favorite hand pulled noodles in an black sauce is also a favorite dish of mine. It's so famous they even have a holiday for it. It's filling and hearty like a bowl of spaghetti but with Asian flair. It's one of those dishes that you can get whenever you need a quick meal and it doesn't break the wallet. It's a pretty ubiquitous dish and every Chinese restaurant must have it. If it does it well, the place becomes famous. If it is just alright, it is just a meal and gets classed in with all of the other places in the city. I can't say I have had any seriously terrible jajangmyeons except maybe some delivery places (where the noodles are overcooked and terribly clumped together so it takes like 10 minutes to get the sauce mixed into it) but even then it is still edible. With the noodles, I love to get fried dumplings and a place is good fried dumplings or some other sides like tangsuyok

Seobu Gamja-guk One of the dishes that came out of necessity is gamja-tang or pork-bone potato stew. This dish has its origins from the Incheon dock area where laborers that were working in the construction wanted to have a cheap and hearty food after a long day of work. The soup consists of pork spine that is slowly cooked with potatoes and topped with sesame leaves. The result is a satisfying dish that goes great with a bowl of hot rice. This was often cooked throughout the day and then eaten at the end of the work day. This dish goes perfectly with a chilled shot of Korean soju. After the first train line was built that would connect the Incheon area with Seoul, one entrepreneur decided that he wanted to make a restaurant focused on this dish. The first restaurant of this type was built near Noryangjin station, which was near the end of the han river railway construction. The dish became a big hit and soon many copycat restaurants started popping up all over Korea. The name gam

Just in case you were wondering, one bottle of Soju contains 540 calories. That's like 4 beers. So to put it in perspective, you would need to walk about two hours to exercise it off. (Walking two hours with a soju hangover is not an easy task.) Soju originally was made from rice but whenever there were rice shortages, people were forbidden to make Soju. Alcohol producers the started to use sweet potatoes and tapioca to make an ethanol based alcohol. Overtime they doctored up the taste so it has a smooth, crisp taste that goes great with raw seafood and grilled meats.
