This easy Flatbread Pizza can be prepped in 15 minutes or less, thanks to all the store-bought shortcuts we’re using. We start with packaged flatbread — we use naan in this recipe and you’re going to be blown away by what a great stand-in it is for pizza dough!
Making pizzas on flatbreads like naan have been one of my go-tos since my college days! The ingredients are relatively inexpensive, they’re ridiculously quick to make, and they are seriously

Plus they make a great “clear out the fridge” kind of meal — whatever veggies or leftover proteins you’ve got lurking in the back of the fridge can get added to naan with some cheese and baked to perfection!

Both naan and pitas are categorized as flatbreads — they each have a yeast-raised dough. One of the differences between the two is that naan is typically made with an egg and yogurt base which thickens and gives it a different texture while cooking.
While pitas work great for flatbread pizzas, we prefer using naan as a pizza base. Stonefire® is our favorite brand (not sponsored), but any naan will work. Different flatbreads will also work; just make sure that whatever you are using has some thickness so it doesn’t get too crispy in the oven. For thinner flatbreads, you’ll want to watch the bake time carefully — it may not need as long.
I love picking up a big (6-count) package of naan and using a couple for these Flatbread Pizzas and then in some other meals throughout the week. Here are some of our favorites:

Pre-cooked and seasoned chicken is a total time saver on its own, but to save even more time, you can purchase rotisserie chicken meat already pulled from the bones and shredded or diced — a lot of grocery stores sell this conveniently prepared chicken!
In this recipe, we are using pre-made flatbread — naan. So while the naan has already been baked (and can be eaten straight out of a package), we still need to cook it through to melt the cheese and cook the pizza toppings.

We cook this pizza in the oven. You can also heat flatbread in an air fryer, microwave, grill, or stovetop if needed.
