It’s also a snack that can double as a fun activity for your kids, which we’ll get to later.

Yogurt Fruit Breakfast Pizza

Here’s how we turned this once-in-a-while dessert to an everyday treat: we cut way, way back on the sugar. The whole wheat “crust” is free of any added sweeteners, and the frosting is re-imagined using Greek yogurt plus a touch of orange juice and honey. Trust us… the gorgeous fresh fruits and creamy yogurt topping are plenty sweet!

If you’ve ever made fruit pizza with a sugar-cookie base before, you know there’s usually a little time and effort involved. Not so with this fruit pizza recipe.

In fact, for these little cuties, you won’t need to turn on the oven at all. They’re 100% no-cook! The secret is using soft whole wheat tortillas on the bottom of the pizza.

Fruit Pizza: Easy To Make & So Gorgeous! Baking A Moment

Grab a drinking glass to get started. Just punch out a few mini rounds from a tortilla and set them aside. (Wondering what to do with the scraps? You can throw them into a casserole, or toss them with butter and bake them into crispy chips… but do that later. We’re not baking now. 😉

In a mixing bowl, stir together Greek yogurt, vanilla, honey, and a splash of orange juice. There’s your healthy, whole food frosting! Now you’re ready to spread it on the cut-out rounds. Or pass the bowl and a butter knife to your kids, and let them do the spreading.

The last step in this fruit pizza recipe is perfect for little food artists. Let your kids design their own personal pizza by arranging cut fruit on top of the frosted rounds. And admire the beautiful edible rainbows you create!

Keto Fruit Pizza Cookies

With St. Patty’s Day right around the corner, my little one has been asking me to make him a rainbow “leprechaun treat.” The thing is, as a general rule, I try avoid supplying him with the artificial coloring needed for said treats. It’s not because I’m a mean Mom, but because they seem to end in a series of tantrums and hyperactivity. Totally not worth it for either of us! So the challenge was to think of something festive for St. Patrick’s Day that will also aid in keeping the peace in my home.

There are naturally-dyed sprinkles and food dyes on the market I could use, but they lack the intensity of color needed for a rainbow treat. The obvious colorful solution was fruit! As a kid, one of my favorite fruit desserts was fruit pizza. So I took the inspiration of the fruit pizza and cut out processed sugar and added whole grains. Also, when you eat these you’ll never guess that the secret ingredientis a bunch of good-for-you dates! For the frosting layer I whipped together cream cheese, honey, and vanilla, which is much lighter than the traditional high-in-sugar-and-shortening frosting.

Fruit

When I first wrote this recipe, I planned on arranging the fruit to look like an actual rainbow (which turned out to be pretty cute by the way). It also ended up being pretty time consuming too, and I thought, “who wants to wait that long to eat dessert?” Not me! Thus I went for the dump-the-fruit-on-top approach. If you have more patiencethan I, you might want to give the rainbow design a whirl. Or, if you have kids who like to do kitchen projects, it’s fun to let them decorate their own fruit pizza.Mini Fruit Pizzas were inspired by our original Fruit Pizza. FROSTING. Make frosting by creaming together two softened 8 oz. cream cheese bars and ½ cup softened butter (1 stick). Add 2 teaspoons vanilla.

Simply, have different flavored frostings as well as bowls of different fruits. Adults and children will delight in customizing their own cookies.

Make ahead of time. Because the Fruit Pizza Cookies are topped with fresh fruit it is best to assemble them within a couple of hours of serving. However, there are elements that can be made ahead of time to make assembly go more quickly.

Best Fruit Pizza (recipe & Video)

STORE leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Wrap the plate tightly with plastic wrap. Remove any fruit that has become too brown/mushy.

The best way to keep these from getting soggy is to prepare them as close to serving and eating them as possible. The natural fruit juices will seep into the frosting/cookie over
